A warm welcome!

Worldwide, the residential sector accounts for a significant part of the carbon emissions. At the same time, it’s a sector with a huge emission reduction potential. Measures like proper insulation, double glazing and efficient heaters can be easily implemented, and have immediate and clear impact on your energy bill.

Maybe they should consider this at Buckingham Palace:

For those who are not familiar with it; the picture above is taken with a thermal camera and shows the heat losses. Blue is cold, yellow is warm… No surprise that this is classified as the most “dirty” building in London!

    Ook zonder infrarood kan men al een ideetje krijgen van de toestand van het eigen dak (nog steeds het belangrijkste te isoleren oppervlak) wat isolatie betreft. Bekijk het smeltpatroon van de sneeuw op het dak, dan zie je direct of er ergens een probleem is. Vergelijk ook met andere woningen in de buurt. Blijft de sneeuw daar veel langer liggen bvb.?
